Vote of Thanks

I am honored to serve as the organizing secretary of the 30th BSVER Annual Scientific Conference organized by the Bangladesh Society for Veterinary Education and Research (BSVER) on 24th and 25th Febreuary, 2024 at the Bangladesh Agricultural University Campus. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the executive committee of the BSVER for nominating me as the organizing secretary of BSVER ASConXXX. BSVER consistently focuses on emerging topics in veterinary science as well as current national concerns of significance.  This continuation focuses on the theme of the symposium, “Smart Veterinary Education and One Health,” correlating with the “Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041” announced by the Government of Bangladesh. Veterinarians serve a crucial role in One Health approaches due to their expertise in animal health, zoonotic diseases, and the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health. Smart veterinary education emphasizes the integration of technology and innovative teaching methods to provide high-quality education and training for future veterinarians to contribute significantly to the goals of One Health. On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Professor Dr. Md. Golam Shahi Alam, Honorable Member, Bangladesh Accreditation Council for gracing the occasion as the chief guest despite his busy schedule and kindly inaugurating the conference.  This year, BSVER has the honor of conferring The Annual Lecture Awardee upon Professor Dr. Md. Golam Shahi Alam in recognition of his substantial contributions to the veterinary fields and elevating the gravity of the conference.  I pay thanks and express profound regards to Professor Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Bangladesh Agricultural University, for giving us his valuable time. I would like to thank and profound regards and gratitude to Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Awal, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Science, BAU, Mymensingh; Dr. Md. Emdadul Haque Talukder, Director General, Department of Livestock Services, Bangladesh; Dr. Nathu Ram Sarker, Executive Director (Additional charge), Krishi Gobeshona Foundation; Mr. Md. Sirajul Hoque, Director, Animal Health, Renata Ltd; Dr. AKM Khasruzzaman, Managing Director, Inter Agrovet BD Ltd. enlightened the occasion as Special Guests.  My heartiest thanks and gratitude to Prof. Nithish Chandra Debnath, National Corodinator, one health Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam for kind presence as a keynote speakers and discussants on the thematic paper of the conferences. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Plenary Speakers, the oral and poster presenters for sharing their valuable insights and expertise. We are humbled by the support and enthusiasm that you have shown for this program which will certainly enrich our understanding of the challenges and opportunities in livestock production in the context of One Health approach.

We encourage all participants to actively engage in the conference sessions, take advantage of the opportunities to learn, and interact with other professionals in the field that will contribute to the growth and development of the veterinary profession in Bangladesh. I am also very much thankful to the journalists and representatives of print and electronic media for their presence and cooperation in the successful holding of this conference. I would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of all members of the executive committee, organizing committee and all sub-committees, the Session Chairs and Co-chairs, the Rapporteurs of BSVER ASConXXX, volunteers, students, and staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the conference and make memorable.

I wish you all an enjoyable and productive conference experience and good interactions in this two days long conference in the BAU campus adorned with colorful spring flowers.
