Vote of Thanks

I am deeply honored to serve as the organizing secretary for the 31st BSVER Annual Scientific Conference (BSVER ASCon XXXI) organized by the Bangladesh Society for Veterinary Education and Research (BSVER) on February 01-02, 2025, at the BAU campus. I express my sincere thanks to the Executive Committee of BSVER for entrusting me with this responsibility. The conference theme, “Climate Change: Animal Health and Food Safety,” emphasizes the interconnected challenges of animal, human, and environmental health, aligning with the One Health approach.

On behalf of the organizing committee, heartfelt gratitude is extended to Prof. Dr. A K Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan, Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University, for serving as Chief Guest and inaugurating the conference. This year, BSVER proudly confers the Annual Lecture Award to Prof. Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Former faculty, Dept. of Microbiology and Hygiene, BAU for his significant contributions to veterinary science. Appreciation is also extended to Special Guests: Prof. Dr. Md. Bahanur Rahman, Dean, FVS, BAU; Dr. Md. Abu Sufiun, DG, DLS; Prof. Dr. Shah Monir Hossain, The Fleming Fund Country Grant and Dr. A.K.M Khasruzzaman, Managing Director, Inter Agro BD Ltd. for their valuable presence and support.

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shamsuddin (FAO, Ghana), Prof. Dr. Mahbub Alam (BAU), and Prof. Dr. A.T.M. Mahbub-E-Elahi (SAU, Sylhet) for their presence as keynote speakers and discussants on the conference’s thematic paper. Appreciation is also given to Plenary Speakers Dr. Nazneen Akhter (DAI), Dr. Paritosh Kumar Biswas (DAI), Dr. Nure Alam Siddiky (The Fleming Fund Bangladesh Country Grant), Dr. SK Shaheenur Islam (DLS), Dr. Moin Us Salam (ACDI/VOCA), Dr. Bidyuth Kumar Mahalder (ACDI/VOCA) and Md. Monoarul Islam (Heifer International Bangladesh) for their valuable contributions. Thanks are extended to oral and poster presenters for sharing insights, enriching discussions on the challenges and opportunities in animal health and food safety in context of climate change.
